Project Overview
In the summer of 2024, I embedded on Adobe’s Commerce and Monetization team, translating leadership product direction into scalable UI patterns and interaction recommendations for an ongoing checkout initiative that launched in 2025. I partnered with Senior and Staff Designers and coordinated with legal stakeholders to review changes, and presented biweekly design rationale and tradeoffs to leadership. I also proposed future-looking design approaches that informed upcoming iterations and improved UI consistency across the initiative.
Learnings and Takeaways
Working on a large cross-functional team taught me that design quality depends as much on coordination as on visual execution. Because the product was actively evolving, I had to track parallel workstreams, identify where I could meaningfully contribute, and avoid duplicating efforts. I learned to proactively seek context from designers, researchers, and product partners rather than waiting for defined tasks.
In considering constraints, business goals and legal requirements directly affected what could be implemented, so presenting my designs required communicating tradeoffs rather than presenting ideal solutions. Preparing for recurring leadership reviews helped me improve articulating rationale clearly, anticipating concerns, and build stakeholder alignment.

Angela is great! She effectively collaborated with multiple designers, copywriters, content strategists, and product managers. Angela is strong in visual design and systematic thinking, as well as communication and presentation. Hope to work again with Angela in the future.
DENIS SERGEYCHIK
Design Manager @ Adobe

I highly recommend Angela, a very positive, upbeat, and open to learning designer! She learned the commerce space quickly and adapted to the constantly changing project she was assigned to. Angela was very patient and always asked for feedback and contributed greatly to our team. Any team would be lucky to have her.
